We find loving homes for homeless kittens, caring for them until those homes are found. When a cat or kitten is taken into EB Feline Rehoming, it is examined by a veterinarian, tested for FIV/FeLV*, given age-appropriate vaccinations (FVRCP and rabies), and treated for fleas and worms, if necessary. We immediately address any other physical problems or illnesses. As soon as appropriate, our kittens are spayed or neutered and microchipped. We do not have a physical shelter, so all of our animals are lovingly cared for in foster homes. Our adoptable cats/kittens are publicized online on Petfinder at ebrehoming.petfinder.com and may be seen by appointment or at one of our regularly scheduled adoption events at the PETCO store in Fort Wayne at 315 E. Coliseum Boulevard – just north of Glenbrook Mall [map]. We also always have some of our adoptable cats or kittens in the “habitat” at PETCO. If you’re a Facebook user, you can also visit, like, and follow us at our EB Feline Rehoming Facebook page.
*FIV/FeLV – Feline Immunodeficiency Virus/Feline Leukemia Virus – this blood test can show false positives in kittens under 6 months old, so if we have her, we test the mother cat, rather than testing the litter. This is standard practice.
